I wanted to post something really cool in regard to yesterday’s e-mail.
A few hours after hitting send on it, I received this from my good friend Ricardo-
In Ricardo’s words, “Good To Great in the Social Sectors is my faith book not written by or about faith.” I haven’t read it yet, but Ricardo is a guy whose instincts I trust.
If you’re involved in NGO’s, faith communities like churches, or other social enterprises, you’ll want to check it out. You can find it on Amazon HERE.
Now, I asked Ricardo if I could mention his gift, but I didn’t warn him I’d be bragging on him a bit too.
HERE is his public face online, so you can follow him. Ricardo is a true friend that I know from churches near my home. For years, he’s worked in France as a missionary and served in churches there. In addition, he’s also worked with refugees in other nations to minister to and serve them. Because he’s fluent in French, he worked with people from primarily French speaking nations in Africa. At a time when refugees the world over were being hated on, my buddy was making lifelong friends with folks who’d lost everything.
I know it may sound cliche, but this man would give up everything he had if someone in need asked him for it. A real, true to life, willing to give the shirt off his back kind of guy.
He’s supported mostly by folks in the states that believe in his mission, so check him out and throw him some support.
